Who The Hell Is Tristan Richards?

I was born and raised in Port Antonio Portland, Jamaica W.I. I knew from an early age that I wanted to be a Musician. I am from a family of five, parents are still together, a older sister and younger brother. We all played music but I was the one that took in up seriously following in my fathers footsteps. He played guitar for a well known group out of Jamaica called Burning Spear and he use to travel the world a lot and I wanted to do the same. He was the one that got me involved in music and taught me how to play the keyboards. You may think just because I am Jamaica that it was reggae music I learned how to play but it was actually Classical Music. I won various competition when I was younger across Jamaica and at the age of 16 I did The Royal School Of Music grade 9 Practical and Music Theory Exams and finished with The Highest grade possible. A few years later I started playing our native music reggae in the hotels and did that for a few years.

I soon realized that I could not be in the hotels all my life so I joined forces with a few friends of mine and formed my current band called Live Wyya. We are one of the most recognized bands in Jamaica and we travel a lot. I have been to so many places across the world, spent more time in hotels and airports than my own home. This was a lot of fun, traveling the world and making money. But I realized that I wasn’t really making the kind of money and living the life that I wanted. Months would go by sometimes and my band would not be working and had to rely on the money that I had made and saved to go back on. I had to find a plan B some how but I didn’t see myself working a 9 – 5, never did and never will.

I found this industry by accident working at The Ritz Carlton hotel in Montego Bay Jamaica the exact night when there was a network marketing company launched being held. This caught my interest and I met someone at that event that I knew and she introduced me to the concept of Network Marketing and owning my own business. I started my business a few days later but struggled for months after that when the excitement died down, I wasn’t making any money because the way they were teaching how to build and recruit people into the business, approaching complete strangers, family and friends was not working for me. Knowing me I had to find a way out and luckily for me I came on the Internet and found a community of internet marketing leaders and mentors and they introduced me to a concept called attraction marketing and having people come to me instead of me chasing them. I just plugged into what these leaders where teaching, develop myself into the person I am today, being able to write my own checks, work on my own terms, also helping others to do the same and teaching them how to change their lives for the better as well. I love playing music and will never stop but I don’t want to be playing because I have to do it to feed my family but to do it just because I love it.
